Setting up Skillset Categories

 

1.Open the SKILLS tab by selecting View - Administration from the menu, then clicking on the SKILLS tab.

 

To Add a New Skillset Category

1.Click the "Edit" button on the toolbar, the "Edit" button at the bottom of the pane, or place your mouse over the skillset categories, right click, and select Edit from the Right click menu.
2.Click the "Add Category" button at the bottom of the right-hand pane.  A <New Category> entry should appear already highlighted.
3.Type the new category.  It should automatically overwrite the words <New Category>.
3.1.If it does not, click on <New Category> once with the mouse, then type the new category.
4.Click the "Save" button on the toolbar, the "Save" button at the bottom of the pane, or select File - Save from the menu.

 

All users will need to exit and re-open RecruitTrack™ to have the change take effect.

 

To Edit a Current Skillset Category

1.Click the "Edit" button on the toolbar, the "Edit" button at the bottom of the pane, or place your mouse over the skillset categories, right click, and select Edit from the Right click menu.
2.Double-click on the skillset category you wish to edit.  A cursor should appear.
3.Modify the skillset category.
4.Click the "Save" button on the toolbar, the "Save" button at the bottom of the pane, or select File - Save from the menu.

 

All users will need to exit and re-open RecruitTrack™ to have the change take effect.

 

To Delete a Skillset Category

1.Click the "Edit" button on the toolbar, the "Edit" button at the bottom of the pane, or place your mouse over the skillset categories, right click, and select Edit from the Right click menu.
2.Select the category you wish to delete by clicking on it once with the mouse.
3.Click the "Delete" button at the bottom of the pane.
4.In the Delete Item dialog, select the "Yes" button.
5.Click the "Save" button on the toolbar, the "Save" button at the bottom of the pane, or select File - Save from the menu.

 

All users will need to exit and re-open RecruitTrack™ to have the change take effect.
