Link an Existing Individual to an Employer

If the company name on the individual record is not highlighted, that means the company is not linked.  You will not be able to open the company record from the individual record, even if the company record exists in RecruitTrack™.

 

To link the company to the individual, the employer record must exist in the database.  Follow the steps below to create the link.

 

1.Open the individual record.
2.Select the "Edit" button from the toolbar or select Command-Edit from the menu.
3.In the Company field, highlight the company name with the mouse and re-type the name.  A list of similar names should appear.
4.Select the name from the list and press the ENTER key.  This will open the Record Copy form.
5.In the Record Copy form, the company address, phone, and skill profile will be copied to the individual record be default.
5.1.To prevent one or more of these items from being copied, de-select the appropriate checkboxes.  When you are finished, click the "Copy" button.
6.Click the "Save" button on the toolbar, select File - Save from the menu, or type CTRL-S to save changes.

 

The company record highlight will not display immediately.  To view the highlight, click the "Back" button on the toolbar, followed by the "Next" button.  The company name should now be highlighted.
