Search Journal Entries
You can search for journal entries by category, type, users, date range, notes, completed or incomplete, employer, employer status, job order title, job order number, job order status, or any combination of these criteria.
| 1.1. | Note: You must have an individual, employer, or job order record open to access this menu option. |
| 2. | In the Journal Search screen, select your search criteria. |
| 2.1. | To search for a specific Journal Category, select a value from the drop-down list. |
| 2.2. | To search for a specific Journal Type, select a value from the drop-down list. |
| 2.2.1. | You must select a Journal Category before you can select a Journal Type. |
| 2.3. | To search for a specific user, select a value from the drop-down list. |
| 2.4. | To search by a pre-defined date range, you can use the Date Range drop-down list. The options are: ALL DATES; TODAY; YESTERDAY; LAST 7 DAYS; LAST 15 DAYS; LAST 30 DAYS; LAST 60 DAYS; and LAST 90 DAYS. |
| 2.5. | To search for specific dates, enter the dates into the appropriate fields or selecting the arrow to open the calendar. |
| 2.5.1. | Note: the custom date range fields only appear if you select a range other than ALL DATES. |
| 2.6. | To search for a Note value, enter the criteria into the field. |
| 2.7. | To search for Completed Y/N, select a value from the drop-down list. |
| 2.8. | To search for a specific employer, enter the name in the Employer field or select it from the drop-down list. |
| 2.8.1. | If you want to search for all the journal activities for multiple divisions of the same employer, enter the name of the company without selecting a value from the drop-down list. |
| 2.8.1.1. | For example, if you want to search for multiple divisions of IBM, type IBM then press the TAB key twice to exit the field without selecting a value from the drop-down list. |
| 2.9. | To search for a specific employer status, select a value from the Status drop-down list. |
| 2.10. | To search for a specific job order title, enter a value in the Title field. |
| 2.11. | To search for a specific job order number, enter a value in the Number field. |
| 2.12. | To search for a specific job order status, enter a value in the Status field. |
| 3. | Click the button to initiate the search. |
| 4. | To open the journal entry, double-click on the appropriate row in the results list. |
| 5. | When you are finished, click the button in the Journal Search screen. |
